starting problem
« on: October 16, 2009 - 10:45:00 AM »
hello, I have this problem when trying to start my 70 Cuda.  I get this clicking sound, like the battery is low. So I replaced the battery, starter, starter relay, both ignition switches( one where the key goes, and the one down in the steering column. It still clicks when I turn the key?? I ran a wire from the starter relay to a toggle switc, and it atarts fine???? Any help would be appreciated..Harry

it could be bad conacts at the fire wall , bootom of the column or inside the actual switch , you could plug another switch into teh column plug to see of ot works that way

Check the bulkhead connector as CP suggests and also check to make sure the battery negative post has a good solid body ground.
