Help Rebuilding Door Hinges
« on: October 13, 2009 - 11:45:59 AM »
Has anyone ever rebuilt a set of door hinges.  I got my rebuild kit in and they didn't include any spiritual guidance.  I have a full machine shop here and it is no problem I am just having a hard time determining which way/where those bushings go.  Throught the top and bottom holes, inbetween the two pieces I don't know.  Help would be greatly appreciated since I'm trying to get these out to PA to my body guy in the morning since he's hounding me for them.  Thanks in advance.

If I recall right they go between the two parts "nose" pointing into the middle. The pins have "tooth" which lock on the outer piece so they turn inside the bushings which are attached into the inside pieces. So the collar should be between the pieces. Hopefully that makes any sense

:iagree:    you also will have to grind a bit off the parts that will hold the bushings for space.

Please post a pic when you finish.  I have no idea either, but would like to do this in the future.

Thx
