5.9 magnum oil pan?
« on: December 20, 2009 - 05:18:03 PM »
I know any 360 pan and pick up should work, but I would like to find a pan that will use the magnum pan gasket. Also what headers will work best with this engine in a Challenger.(90% stock, will change the intake to M1 single plane, but keep mpi.)

the Best header is the TTI , , the Hooker 5115 or Dougs header is a good fit as well , to use the magnum 1 piece gasket you have to eliminate the notch in the corner of the pan where the banana seal is held in , the magnum doen`t have this notch so you either have to fill the notch or work the metal to remove it

Thanks for the tip,I will have to try that,I was trying to find the pan they use on the 300hp 360 crate engine, but mabe using an old 360 pan and your tip will save some cash!!!!Are those headers made for a magnum engine/e-body,or are exhaust port location on LA an Magnum the same?
I kind of feel like a fool asking, because I feel like I should know this, but I never really wrenched on small blocks to much, almost always 383,440's.Thanks
