I screwed up
« on: October 18, 2009 - 10:20:22 AM »
I unintenionally offended a fellow member, and although I have sent him a PM I feel I also need to make it known here.

Friday morning burnt orange made a post about his nephew getting a Mustang, and there certainly was nothing wrong with that. Then there were quite a few following post commenting about that and a few who made post about Mustangs in general. Anyway I made a remark about the thread resembling what you would expect on a Mustang forum. It was meant to actually be a "tongue in cheek" comment. But I did not actually verify that intent and as I remember did not use any "smilys" to hint or suggest that.

Anyway burnt orange sent me a PM saying he had removed his thread, which I didn't see until Saturday morning, so what ever may have been posted after my remark I did not see since he had removed the post. At any rate I shared with burt orange that I was not offended by the thread and was sorry he did remove it. And I want to appologize to the board in general.

This is a "hazard" of posting comments, we do not actually know the general personality of each other and we can not hear voice tone or voice fluctuation in our post. And I failed to use any visual smilly to represent my mood.

Yes I'm 100 per cent Mopar, anyone who has met me can verify that, but I also know many of you also have your own personal preference toward cars, past and present and you have every right I guess to voice that. And any who have met me I hope also can verify that I am not one to personally "attack" individuals or generally speaking non controvisial post like burnt orange made.

I do feel bad he deleted his thread, I was not offended by it and did not mean my post to imply it should be removed................I'm sorry.   :sadwavey:

Most of the members here like alot of different muscle cars and anyone is welcome to post a thread about a chevy, ford, pontiac and or other cars as far as I'm concerned.  I personally like to see other cool rides here and not just our e-bodies.   :grinyes:

Just a simple misunderstanding, cool of you to try to make it right though.   :2thumbs:   My son likes the 68 Fastback Mustang better than any other muscle car but hey, at least he digs musclecars and not civics.

Nice of you to try and correct any misunderstandings Jim.     I am a Mopar first, other musclecars next kind of guy.  If I couldn't get a Mopar I would like to have, a nice 1970 Chevelle LS-6 would work for me. I agree with others here, most of us like musclecars of all kinds and I have no heartburn with discussions about them here.

BTW -- the deleted thread is easily restored if Burnt would like it restored....    :2thumbs:

This thread shows what a great little cyber community we have going here.  There is real concern over each others feelings, and disagreements (even misunderstandings) are handled through personal messages and adult conversation and not some idiotic flame war.  I hope everything is good between you both.  I am just saying what you guys all know- It is nice to be here. :2cents:
