test engine stand with 727

My engine (383) has been rebuilt and ready to put on test engine stand but problem is - tranny is a 727 - so I figured, just get a bellhousing and wa'la, everything will be ok.  Not so, I'm hoping I could just install flex plate, plug converter and install all to test run. Now I'm having doubts that flex plate will not support spinning weight of convert with engine running. There shouldn't be any torque on converter because of no tranny or drive train but, there also won't be any support on back of converter. Should this be a problem, or am I over thinking this thing. Because of no torque, converter should not get fried, oooooor, will it?

DO NOT EVEN TRY TO USE A TQ BY ITSELF!!!!!!   It will break off of there.   The word flex plate has that name for a reason. And the snout keeps the verter stable. Buy a used 130 tooth flywheel for cheap if you are useing an aluminum bell

This is why I love this site - there is a "ton" of experience and knowledge floating around out there. I have talked to tranny shops and local gear heads and all say they see no problem. I just felt there could be an issue and a "BIG THANKS to Moparal" for not letting me split my motor and head open. Now does anybody have a used 130 tooth flywheel just collecting dust.

Oh yea, my belhousing is cast, that shouldn't make a difference, or does it and why.

the cast belhousing requires the larger 143 tooth flywhhel , the starter will not reach in to the smaller 130 tooth flywheel

As the typical domino effect happens withmy stuff, will the starter I have work, or will I need a different starter?

starter wiill work with either setup , the cast belk just positions it differently for the larger flywheel

Bought a flywheel today from guy in Ohio, Its shipp'n and I'm happy, Thanks for advice.
