Thanks!  So is that the consensus, 6 qt hemi pan for the 493"-517"?  I just want to make sure that I get enough oil, and what other place to go than the experience?  Is there any other pan that may be recommended?

the other option is the Milodon circle track pan , stock depth but much wider , it is tough to fit though & seems to have to go on after the engine is in place int he K frame

I will be using either the Miloden 6 Qt hemi pan or the Mancini Racing 6 Qt Hemi oil pan.  Both seem as though they would work just fine.

The PU though, 3/8 or 1/2?  Why?

I remember seeing repeats of High Pressure, not High Volume as Mopar already has good volume.  Is there one that is recommended?  Or is the Miloden or other brands just fine.

If you have the block out for machining, I always get the pickup hole drilled and tapped for a 1/2" pickup. If it isn't torn down to the bare block then you're stuck using the 3/8" pickup.  That bigger pickup is the next step to better oiling. The next step after that would be an external #12 A&N hose to the pan, bypassing the internal restriction completely.
