If it is the same as a 73, then it should be plated in zinc dichromate. That is the yellow/gold color with the red and green rainbow effect.
Can anyone tell me if the bracket between the booster and the firewall is black or plated with the booster?

This is the factory booster from my '73 Cuda. The plate is black.

Thanks for that picture. I saved it in my reference picture file on my computer. I was just going through my brake petal and brackets and couldn't quite see how it all fit together.
My bracket was still attached to the booster with those push on style clips. I had blasted the whole assembly years ago so I wasn't sure what the correct colors were supposed to be. Last night I pulled the bracket off of the booster and found exactly what you just said. The bracket is black. The booster still has beautiful zinc dichromate on the back underneith the bracket.
