center link question
« on: November 27, 2009 - 10:07:56 PM »
The center link has 4 holes. 2 on each side. One side is straight and the other side has an angle. My question is which side hooks into the pitmann arm and which side hooks into the idler arm? Since the holes are tapered, I should have it with the correct side up. The pitman and idler arms and the inner tie rod arms go in from the top and the outer tie rod arms go in from underneath. Correct? :clueless: Thanks!

Right, the pitman and idler go in from the top so the so the large side of the taper in the center link goes up.  There are 2 ways to install it center link with the taper up.  The correct way will give more clearance between it and the oil pan sump (center link bulges away from the sump).
