Glove Box Finish - Flat or Semi Flat?
« on: November 09, 2009 - 10:41:43 AM »
What is the correct finish for glove box door and surrounding metal surface?  It appears to be flat but want to be sure.  Car is '70 Cuda.

I used SEM Trim Black in the rattle can #39143.
Its on their website and ships by ground only.
Used it on the outside surface of my ashtray and steering column and matches very well.

What would you consider the finish to be for that SEM trim black, semi-flat, semi-gloss, etc...?

I'm not an expert but I would say satin. It matches the existing.

Interesting.  Wonder if suede is closer to flat or satin?  Do you know if the inside of the ash tray had a higher gloss content than the outside surface?

I guess Low Gloss "Hi-Heat Paint, Aervoe Brand, rattle can. The look is the same as a header tube, race car 'stuff' to look inflammable. It's a good match.
