Can anyone post their Dynamat or similar product pictures
« on: November 22, 2009 - 08:25:36 PM »
Hi,

Just finishing up installing B-Quiet sound deadening insulation (same as Dynamat) on the floors and cieling of my 73 Challenger and about to start the trunk area.

Can some others on here please post their pictures of a similar install and comment?  I would like to see how high you went up on the firewall and sides of floor.

Any comments or something you discovered after it was installed that you wish you knew before you did it??!!  I was a little nervous doing the ceiling as I have to install the headliner after and I have never done anything like this before.  I'm not sure if the dynamat will get in the way of the clips (?)

Thanks for the help.

John

This is not my car, but I saved this picture from someone on here.  They did the entire firewall.  I'm getting ready to do this to my car as well.

Here are some of mine. I used FAT-MAT It was a little cheaper. It seems to stick real well. It has a smell like tar-paper when installing it, but now that it has set for a while and the whole interior is in there is no smell. I don't have great pictures but I can say the sound of the door shutting is MUCH more solid sounding. The car has not been driven yet so I can't say how well it works but I think it will work well.
