Buying A New Camera...Nikon P90....Anyone have this one?

Actually I have already bought this camera, but it's for Christmas, so I haven't opened it up in case I decide to return it.  It was on sale the day I got it for $299.  The next day I was at the same store and the new price was $369.  So I know I got a good price on it.

If anyone here has this camera, I would like to hear some feed back.  I have read online reviews and most people like it.

I just bought the D90 last Christmas and have owned Nikons since 1980 and love them all. My wife just bought me a new Nikon 70 -300 VR lens for Christmas this year. I spent alot of time on this fourm before I bought and Istill go there and learned alot. You have to sign up to post but it is free and painless.

It is a great camera. i used my brother in laws over thanksgiving weekend, and i loved it. I stopped in at a camera shop monday to talk to a real professional about it, because i am wanting to get one for the wife for christmas. He recomended the next step up, a true SLR camera for want we are wanting to do. We have kids participating in sports, and we do a lot of action shots. He said the P 90 is great for that, but it automatically adjusts the pixels lower as it tries to keep up with the continual action shots. A true digital SLR camera will give you high quality or high pixel pictures everytime, at 3 shots per second. Downside is it costs another $200 on up. I find them priced $499 up to a couple thousand. I am not sure what i am going to go after. I have a couple bids on EBAY, that will end this weekend. I guess i will wait and see what happens.
