ok i thought one was forwards and one was reverse but in the description it says for both forwards and reverse or you can get it in both or something...also..is passing gear a gear inbetween 2nd and 3rd or does it kick down to 2nd?? because if it just kicks down the second to pass i cna do that by hand...thanks for the help trannys are new to me...

If you are in third, it would kick you down to second.

so i would just basically have to manual downshift...which isn't a problem since i had to do that in my dakota...Thanks.. ;D  i hope i'm not annoying you yet...

with a manual vavle body it will not kick down or shift by itself.   Yes .. you will have to down shift manually. Ive heard that it isnt good to down shift with a manual vavle body. I down shift from 3rd to 2nd sometimes but NEVER 2nd to 1st. I am pretty sure you will hurt your trans if you do that with the cheetah manual unit. Has something to do with "low band apply" and that one doesnt have it.
