Does anyone know where I can find replacement knobs like the one shown in the photos below?

they are molded onthe cables so I think you will ahve to replace the cable , at least yours are the round ones used for 4 years not the one year only sqaure 70 type

2 things...

1.  I have an extra due to the kindness of another member.  I'll get a pic.  If you want it, it's yours for shipping.

2.  My '71 Cuda has the square ones that say VENT on them.  Is this actually incorrect?

I'm not certain myself as to what vent knobs are correct for 71s, but in looking at other cars that claim to be all-original (like this one - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250532042432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) -- they all seem to have the round knobs.

I'd certainly be interested in your extra vent knob, but  I don't want to deprive you of it if we determine for sure that the round knobs are correct for 71 and you decide to keep it in case you want to swap out your squares ones at some time in the future.

Well, my extra seems to have met an early demise.  The knob itself is still OK, but the bracket that is molded into the sheathing is completely destroyed.  Let me know if you want the knob, but know that it'll take some work to transplant.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check into this for me. I found an alternative knob in my collection of parts that is not correct but it can work for now -- so I won't need your vent knob. Thanks for the offer, though. I do appreciate it.
