moog idler arm instructions
« on: November 29, 2009 - 09:07:39 PM »
I have a moog k7041 idler arm and no instructions. There are two soft seals and a washer. I know the bolt goes up from the bottom but does the washer go on top or bottom of the idler arm? Does any one have the instuctions for this?  :banghead:

The washer may also go under the nut on the tapered side that goes through the center link, if you run out of threads.

I think the washer goes inside the k-frame mount. It is to loose without it. I don't know if it goes on top or on the bottom. Thanks  :2thumbs:

I have used the washer on top of the idler to add clearance  keep the tie rod ends away from the T bars , the small foam washers go on the top & bottom of the idler inside the K frame munt , the larger foam washer goes between the idler & center link

So when you put the idler in the k frame mount you put the washer inside on top?  You would think it would have washer on both sides in the mount but it only comes with one.

I've used the washer to correct bump-steer issues.  I've even cut the sleeve shorter so I could install 2 washers on one side.
