Hood Pin Plate Mounting Holes
« on: December 04, 2009 - 08:16:48 AM »
Im going to install hood pins this weekend on my 70 Cuda.  With respect to the 4 small holes that mount the chrome top plate on top of the hood......do I need to tap these holes or will drilling the hole smaller than the screw and then using the screw to do the tapping suffice?  Advice in this area from those that have done a hood pin installation would be appreciated..thanks

You just need to drill a smaller hole.
