How much HP can a stock 904 withstand?
« on: December 04, 2009 - 02:55:41 PM »
I am curious to what freshly rebuilt 904 with a mild shift can handle. I have a new motor with what may be around 450 hp.  Wondering If would be able to take it. If not Is there anything I can do to make it stronger?

I cant change to a 727 because of the gearvendors overdrive I have on the 904.

You can beef up the internals quite a bit and should be able to handle that easy.  A number of racers use the 904 because it is lighter than the 727.
