CHRYSLERS 1969 W23 OPTION ALUMINUM WHEELS.
« on: January 11, 2010 - 06:32:45 AM »
 :22yikes:
Has anybody got, or seen one of these wheels recently ?    They are supposed to be worth thousands of dollars !
The story goes that plymouth tried to recall all of the wheels because the alloy center was breaking up and the lugnuts would
become loose.
These wheels were chryslers first and last attempt at light alloy wheels until the 1980's.         ;D
just one more job to do..................  (O----{|||}----O)

Another aluminum wheel was originally planned for 1971 E & B bodies. It was cancelled right before the model year started.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I've seen the repops in 17's even.  Wish I could remember who was making them.  Seemed real pricey at the time I saw them though.
