Wow, thanks guys! I've got a wiring harness replacement project In the works for this year. I'm afraid to get into the dash portion, this thing is like any survivor. The harness front to back is hacked to hell. I'm a communications electrician in the Navy, so I'm prety good at fixing it the right way. Using solder and heat shrink tubing to make sure my connections are tight and waterproof. I just got done building a new harness plug for my voltage regulator. It turned out great and works well (I just can't get the car to start). I used some connectors from Radio Shack, RTV silicone and a lot of heat shrink. It was a very interesting project stemming from replacing the damaged alternator. I found many cracks in the 35 year old harness and several dead ends. I'm afraid to see what else I'll find when I open up the dash!
