Molded spoiler question
« on: January 15, 2010 - 04:40:42 PM »
If i was wanting to mold my spoiler into my trunk lid and it was a fiberglass spoiler and i also needed a trunk lid anyways would i be better off getting a fiberglass trunk lid? basically is it easier to mold fiberglass to fiberglass, then metal to fiberglass or is it going to be the same either way?

yes, molding two fiberglass parts will have better results over metal and fiberglass, but that doesn't mean fiberglass spoiler can't be molded to metal trunk, it just takes right materials, if you end up molding the spoiler to metal lid, I suggest using marine-tex,that stuff is amazing and works the best in problem situations especially in areas prone to high stress,
