Nice car!  Great color combo!  Need more pics!

One thing I'd do if it was MY car would be to remove all the R/T badges if possible (new emblems are stick-on).

Not a fan of cars with fake badges.  Hoods, exhaust, etc. is all good, but fake badges is just a turn-off to me.  Adds nothing to the look.

I appreciate all of the opinions, guys!  I'm pretty happy with it so far.  Of course, there are always a few issues that you don't know about until you get it home, but I can deal with what I've found so far.  I think I'll leave it just like it is and enjoy it for awhile!  Oh, and when we have a decent day, I'll get some more pics and post them in the pic section.

That Gold with Black VT is nothing short of strikingly HOT!  If it were mine, the first thing I would do is replace the column shift.  From there, I would just make sure everything operated as it should.  Somewhere way down the road, I would even consider moving to a 340 (as I have done) and either keep the 904 or swap in a 727.  But, keep in mind that 340's are expensive to acquire and expensive to build.  So, keep the 318 if she runs good.

ps: your ride has a nice stance.  I hope it's not supported by air shocks!
Also, the TA exhaust system only fits certain 340 exhaust manifolds, so I am curious as to what mods they did to fit to the 318--- did they just cut and bend the pipe coming off the manifolds?

Thanks for the kind words!  The exhaust head pipes were just welded to the flange pipes close the manifolds.  It still has the stock 318 manifolds.  And yes, it does have air shocks.  When I change to an 8 3/4, I'll replace the springs and eliminate the air shocks...

For that matter just put a 340 pie tin & air cleaner on.  I'd say a good percentage of the folks out there will never know the difference.  Same with it being a 340 R/T.

Well, there were a few.  The worst of which is a bad spot in the unibody on the outer edge of the T-Cap on the passenger side.  The rest of the unibody is good (it was undercoated) so it's a bit weird that it would only be bad in that spot.  Luckily, their are reproductions available so it should be an easy fix.  The rest were just usual quirks for a 40 year old car; speedo jumping around, turn signal switch broken, dented brightwork, etc.  All little stuff but NONE mentioned when I was working the deal on the car.  It's always hard to buy a car, sight unseen, over 1,000 miles away.

Right!  Most people (this site excluded) wouldn't even know that you couldn't even get an R/T in '70 with a 340!  I don't intend to try and dupe anyone.  The 318 runs well, it'll stay for awhile while I figure out which direction to take the car.  That 408 small block is looking pretty sweet!!!

I have a similar car and have been debating an engine. The 318 runs so damn good though.  My stock manifolds are welded with into the exhaust pipes as well,  They don't even match diameters, the space is just filled with weld!
