What is the best stuff to seal the oil pan gaskets with a windage tray?

I dont really use anything, some use black rtv, some use brush tac, or copper coat, some just do corners. Biggest this is don't over tighten.  If you squish it down to much, it will leak eventually.

If you are talking big block, i use wheel bearing grease on cork gaskets, this allows the gasket to have extremely good sealing properties and aids in removal at a later date without sticking to the block as cork is known to do. :2thumbs:

we generally use spray tach and oil rtv at the rear main cap area and on the front cover if you have a big block
