4-speed-(re-)conversion-kit wanted (`70 Challenger)
« on: January 03, 2010 - 06:34:43 PM »
Searching for a complete kit - new or used - to bring my Chally back to 4-speed-glory.

It`s originally a 4-spd.-car, but unfortunately everthing except the 4-speed-hump on the tunnel is gone. I guess my pedal-box as such is also the 4-speed one, but it misses the complete clutch-pedal (already got the small 4-spd brake-pedal).

Parts need to be shipped to 34691 Holiday / FL.

Thanks in advance for your offers.

Thanks, Al + Dave, for this weblink. Didn`t know this company before...very useful hp and very well sorted shop.

The impression I got from their hp is that they are very professianal and know what to do, but aksing nearly 5,000$ for a complete A-833-Kit (parts only). Sorry, doesn`t look like a bargain to me or am I wrong?
Thanks + best regards,

TobiasM

That price is not bad when you factor in all the parts have been rebuilt/refreshed and come in one lot.  You could definitely save a few bucks shopping around and hitting the junk yards, but you have to consider how much your time searching is worth and how quickly you want to get this done.  You do pay for convenience, but a lot of times it's worth it, plus, they will be there for help when it comes time to install.

Thanks Al! Looke up febo.com but didn`t find the 4-spd-setup in the classifieds (crawled back until October).

Found two add`s where just the trans was offered (1x Truck-OD, 1x sold).

May I aksed you to pass me the complete link? Thanks in advance.
Thanks + best regards,

TobiasM
