difference in sb torque converter and bb torque converter
« on: January 23, 2010 - 05:08:56 PM »
Ok, my 727 tranny is fried, so my father was kind enough to give me his freshly built 727 tranny and new torque converter.  Only thing is, his 727 was bolted to his 1970 340, and my motor is a 1972 440.  I am assuming that I will not be able to use his torque converter, would I be correct with that assumption?  I can use the Tranny though, correct?  thanks again.
Jason

Ya ,small block and big block use different bolt patterns ( engine to tranny) It won't bolt up.
