Does this sound fair?
« on: January 19, 2010 - 06:36:50 PM »
I took my rear bumper into the chromers today and was wondering if this sounds fair. first of all the bumper is a little twisted, has 2 coats of primer and paint, and dents. the two bumper guards each have a dent. I'm going to make it look like a rubber bumper (body colour, shaved bolts and chrome guards) i was quoted $275 to have the bumper straightened,  and stripped. and $70 to have the guards straightened and chromed.
does this sound okay?

$275 sounds steep to me for merely stripping and straightening, but we paid $100 to have a couple of front Challenger bumper guards rechromed (and they were already straight).

Guards sounds about right.. As for the bumper check around for a good core, someone here would probably give you one.
