I agree datatags is the way to go and A.G. can help you out a lot as to what is correct you just need to know the options as best you can. the fender tag is part of the car , it belongs there and as long as you're honest about it when and if you sell the car it's no different than a reproduction door handle.

 Some people get way too uptight about these sorts of things in my opinion, being wrong about the style of stripe the car came with isn't going to hose anyone it's a minor issue and it doesn't have a drastic effect on the value of a 30K car. there is no way without a build sheet to prove what wheels came on a car,  at some point you have to accept the sky won't fall if I'm wrong.
