I need some suspension help guys
« on: January 26, 2010 - 07:13:30 AM »
Alright, So im getting close to rebuilding my front suspension and I dont have any idea what I need to buy. Hell, I dont even know how to hook it all back together. Is there any good reference material that you guys used? The car is a 1970 Barracuda.

Thanks,
Sam

Do you mean it is already all apart and out of the car?

That is half the battle.

I am a newbie to this myself and recently removed the suspension and steering box from my 72.

Actually not as hard as one would think.   Easier to have the right tools and a decent working area (ie not outside in your driveway).

I am almost to the point of reassembly.....not quite but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  LOL

I have the factory service manual for my year. Originals are pricey but you can get a CD version for decent price... here is one for $53
http://www.dealsonwheels.com/PartsAndAccessories/Results.aspx?year=1970&make=DODGE&model=CHALLENGER
Otherwise there are dozens of threads here already dealing with this or you can always post a specific question... I for one would be lost without both the manual & C-C.C advice.

As for the parts it depends on what you want....original equipment or performance/polyurethane
This thread has a list of parts that you may need.
