I just got rid of one yesterday. It was a trojan called Redirector something..... Everytime I clicked a link on any site it would install another one which my antivirus would catch and quarintine. But as soon as I tried to surf it would do it again and again. I finally tried empying my temp internet file and deleted my cookies in Internet explorer and then all was fine again. scanned the computer and everything was clear.
My wife and kids both go on Facebook and myspace often so that explains where it probably came from.  I'm glad it was just didn't do any real damage.

Any site that attracts a lot of people, where people interact on a regular basis, then that is where the viruses are set up. Kids are more interested in telling their friends what they had for breakfast than keeping an eye out for something not right. That is why facebook, etc. and most of the chat forums are prime targets.   :villagers:

Yes it was redirector something.. I use facebook also but was not on facebook when this happened to me. CC was teh only site I surfed at the time. But it's probably the cause of it all. Sorry for the false alarm, just wanted to warn you guys.
