Installing babbit-type bushing
« on: October 20, 2004 - 08:56:05 AM »
My new ATI convertor requires a babbit bearing to be installed. I have the bushing, anyone have to procedure to do so? All i know is that the front pump will have to come off. Do i have to drain the tranny fluid out? Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Nick

Depending on how much fluid is currently in the trans, when you pull the pump some/lots can/will come out... pull the dipstick tube out and tip the trans on it's side to get most of the fluid out, then you're free to pull the pump!! Makes it a little cleaner this way too!! ;)
