Also, what are you guys thinking in terms of value with our Landy Challenger. I'd love to get any feedback I can. Any information would be more than appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

...I've seen HEMI E-Bodys going unsold recently in the $150K (and less) range, supposedly nice cars, but they all look good in the advertisements pictures...this car interests me, but not at $95K...not sure how much the Landy stuff would add to it, possibly not as much as one would think, possibly nothing at all, just an interesting history/story and nearly EVERY old car has a story...

...obviously, it needs lots of $$$ spent to bring it back, deduct that from current market pricing for a HEMI Challenger and there's the answer...the real question is, WHAT IS TODAYS MARKET PRICE for a finished car ???...it's apparently worth what you paid for it, because you bought it...did you get a steal, or pay too much, only time will tell...personally, I don't think the Landy connection will bring a lot of extra $$$ if any, but there's always that one guy that will want it bad enough to pay plenty, just gotta find him...sorry, but thats about the best I can come up with, you have a most interesting piece of MOPAR/Landy history there

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where the Dick Landy Super Stock Dart was sold through? Was it a private sale or auction? Also, has anyone heard of any recent Super Stock Cudas selling? Also, what are you guys thinking in terms of value with our Landy Challenger. I'd love to get any feedback I can. Any information would be more than appreciated.

Shawn,
I believe the documented history of your car and the Landy factor have to add a 20%-25% premium over and above a "retail" Hemi Challenger. I'm not an expert but I've been following (in detail, for my next purchase) the value of Hemi E-bodies for the past 2 yrs.
Think about premiums on documented Mr. Norms cars, Yenko's, Royal Bobcat GTO's, Shelby's, Saleens etc. I realize these mentioned are high volume retail cars and Landy is not exactly in the same catagory. He was a very successful drag racer who quietly marketed his expertise on a smaller scale to the general public. It's not too difficult to find specilaty cars from the previously mentioned names, try to find another documented Dick Landy prepped car.
Just my 2 cents,
Good Luck with the sale,
Brian

Thank you Brian. I think you're about right. Everyone I've spoken with who follows everything has about the same opinion so I think if we get around the 85k mark we will probably just let her go. I really appreciate your input and thanks to everyone whos commented.

Thanks,
Shawn
