Seat belt Dyeing

What is the best way to color seat belt .I have to recolor them am staying whit black ,is it best to paint them or dyeing them what will i use that work best .thanks for any info
1941 Dodge truck 340cu
1935 ford 3window coupe 327cu
1965 Acadian Beaumont Convertible 283cu

Here's what I did with very good results:  clean them, dry them, spray paint/dye them with SEM Color Coat 15013 Landau Black.  You can check SEM out on the net at www.sem.ws
