BS27N1B.....can I determine build date?

Hello
my first question: I have bought a 71 Cuda conv in France, but fender tag and broadcast sheet are missing. Vin is BS27N1B 327....so should be very late production. Car is very complete and with a lot of options (power windows, six way seat, shaker...) so would like to have a correct fender tag. From the VIN is possible to determine date of production, maybe checking other Cuda built with late VINs? Any other here with late VINs?

There is no way to know the actual build date.

There is also no way to know the tag codes without some type of original document to go on & some export cars never had fender tags.

You could contact Ola at the E-Body Convertible Registry & see if he knows of any original items for your car.

The highest 1971 Hamtramck VIN I have seen so far is in the 454xxx range, so personally, I would not consider your car late production.

by checking other cars you can narrow down the approx build date but you need the fender tag to know for sure

    The build date on mine is 4/21  BS23H1B365***    This will narrow it down a bit more.

The SPD is NOT the build date. There is NO way to know that actual build date.

In our case, because we ordered the car, our dates are easier to track. We have Bill of Sale and original DOT Registration. But like Barry states unless you have the documentation it's up for speculation.
