Handy tip..      I remove my batteries and add water about 3-4 times a year. So far, so good....

I have had great success in my motorcycles, cars, etc

Im not recoomending anyone do it, but it worked with me, and I have gotten extermel;y long life out of my batteries

Im a maintanance freak, and always check all the fluids:  I actually keep my batteries just above the recommended fluid line.   But when you top off, use DISTILLED water. You can get a gallon for about $1.50 in the water aisle in any grocery store.    Regula H20 has to many minerals.   It will build up between the plates, and eventually fail the battery

I have the Optima and just park the car, go away, come back 4-5 months later and away she goes again. You can buy a battery rejuvenator liquid from most RV vehicle locations. This stuff is added to the acid and cleans sulphates off the plates. Battery tenders are not worth the effort. My GM delco battery in my farm tractor is 15 (yes 15) years old, starts the tractor at 20deg F after sitting for 2 months. Don't know why it still works but it does. So if your battery is a piece of junk then battery tenders will not help. Especially those repro MOPAR things. For those you are paying for the fancy little colored caps not what is inside.
