never heard that about flattening them but I guees it might makes sense for a high hp car. I had these listed in the parts for sale for $15/set. If you are thrashing your car they may not be for you but for adult driven cars, would probably be fine.

I have the round generics on my car last I checked they look fine. :dunno:

I kind of try and beat on my car too when I can. :naughty:

Speaking of u-bolts...does anyone know what part the oem style 7" ubolts and nuts would be on Rock Auto?

I was going to reuse mine but they all broke except for one. Summit had round silver, longer ones for $4.95 each. I put them on then cut off the extra thread.

That's not bad, until you get their $5 handling charge. That's why I thought I'd combine it with a bunch of other stuff I'm getting from Rock.

I get some stuff from Rock-A, but you have to check all of the shipping before you finish the purchase. I was going to order a bunch of stuff from them at one time to save on shipping, only to find out that my stuff was shipping from 5 different suppliers, with a shipping charge from each one. I wasn't saving much so I bought some of it locally, the rest at the nationals.  I did get my shocks there though, Less than $11 per gas shock.
