vinyl top adhesive
« on: March 06, 2010 - 02:29:53 PM »
Any specific brand to use or stay away from? Do I need to put the moulding around the pillar right away or can I leave it for a while? The car is in a garage btw. I read an article a while back and feel confident that I can put the top on myself but am I just fooling myself or is it as easy as it sounds? Thanks for any advice or tips you guys have.

Legendary says to use spray trim adhesive(3M?) Decent directions also.

I would use the Super not the general trim adhesive

Any local auto parts that carries body supplies should have it.

From http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/howto/25738_horse_skinning/index.html

DAP Weldwood Contact Adhesive to attach vinyl tops. Since this is spray grade, there's no need to dilute it.
