« on: March 12, 2010 - 07:28:50 AM »
I`m looking for a torquewrench .  I don`t want to buy a bunch of wrenches so what size would cover most specs on my cuda?

The 1/2" drive that I have goes up to 300 ft lbs.  That'll cover all for susension and engine.  You should really consider buying a smaller in lb wrench for specialty and adjustment specs.

I agree with what Brooks stated.  It is good to have a high quality torque wrench with 250 ft-lb or 300 ft-lb capacity (1/2 inch drive).  And a smaller one with in-lb readings, which will be used much less often.

But I don't know what types are available in The Netherlands.  I would imagine that you could only find torque wrenches with units of N-m, correct?  (Or I suppose you could order from the U.S.)

Either way, a torque wrench is definitely a tool that you want high quality.  Some of the lower-quality units can be +/- 5~10 percent, even when new!

Good luck!
