1972-74 Challenger Rear Tail Panel?
« on: February 25, 2010 - 04:32:41 PM »
What can't I find a source for a new one?  I would consider a used one in very good condition, but all I have found so far is questionable pieces that need work, and need to be shipped a long distance.

This guys in Canada, and, although he may not have something listed, if you e-mail him he will probably have one for you.

AMD and Goodmark at this time have no plans for this as there is an abundance of these cars laying around. I do have a source or two that will have some good used if your interested.

I'm in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I don't mind travelling a reasonable number of hours into Michigan, Ohio, etc., or Ontario to see the part and purchase.

Alabama, and Wisconson are the two places that I have found pieces.  I could have had parts in the past very reasonable, but I didn't realize I needed that part, and really don't want to store a whole car to part out.

I've contacted these people, as well as Dynacorn.

They think the only part needed is for '70 and '71.

I said to them "Hasn't everyone who owns one of those "70 and "71 already restored  it ?"

They reply "We sell lot's of them every day"

My car has newer quarter skins, and I'm puting in a new trunk floor.  It needs a rot free, bondo free tail panel that is straight.

Thanks to those who have tried to help me.  I have located a new factory NOS piece.  It cost me a premium, but I truly believe it was the better choice.

It really doesn't make sense to me why this part is not remanufactured, unless I'm the only one who thinks that way.
