STR 12 mock up
« on: March 21, 2010 - 08:02:31 PM »
I have been looking at this in my playroom for a few months and today I started to do a mock up to see what kind of issues will need to be tackled and there are a few :hyper:

It will be worth it in the end.  The wow factor when you open the hood should be awesome!

very cool! I have a big grin on my face just looking at it! :2thumbs: How's the hood clearance? I have a T/A hood and wonder if it would fit better with that hood compared to a rally hood?

That's A body inner fenders,so he must of sat it on his fastback, not an e body,  but I would bet it may fit under either

:bigshades: X 10, thanks Clown, just what I wanted to see, should have put some money on a bet with my one buddy  :roflsmiley:  Can you perhaps provide some history about this rare small block set up??  That will just be jaw dropping awsome when you can get the wrinkles worked out and fire it up.  :clapping:  :2thumbs:   :dogpile:

Thanks Guys
Good eye Alan,It is going on my 69 Cuda fastback.
As far as hood clearance goes I will be getting into that in the next few weeks, not a big deal though I am probably gonna order a Hemi A-body scoop.
Rare is the word on these, took me 3 years to find one I could actually afford(anyone looking for one? There is an intake with linkage listed on For A bodies only$2000)
Info on these is really hard to come by.This is my take on why they are so rare and I could be totally wrong so if you can correct me on this?please do and share any info you know.I feel that this intake was put into production about the same time as the W2 program was going into effect and since it won't bolt up to W2 heads there wasn't a big market for it.Anyone got any info?
