71 Challenger Convertible (Project) $5K
« on: June 04, 2010 - 08:20:02 AM »
I have a 71 Challenger Convertible project that was left incomplete by the restoration shop that went out of business.  It has a title and fender tag.  I have the original 318 and drive train.  It is completely disassembled and bead blasted, so the buyer will have no surprises.  It needs alot of body work.  The rear frame rails and trunk are new but the front frame rails, both quarters and floors will all need replacing along with some other areas.  It comes with new metal for the front frame rails. The grill and front valance are in good condition along with four doors.  The fenders, hood, and trunk lid are unusable IMO.  Comes with two front suspensions and two dashes, one AC and one non-AC (Both need a cap or resto).  Has most interior panels and the rear seat but no buckets.  No Console (It was crushed by someone in the shop).  Two steering columns.  Lots of trim pieces including many of the very hard to find convertible ones.  The convertible top assemble is gone; with only a few parts on-hand.  This will be the most difficult challenge with regards to parts.  I have seen four go across ebay over the past year, so they are out there.  Lots of other parts as you can see in the pics.  Asking $5,000.

Now that's a project!  I LUV Challenger Convertibles but unfortunately my bank account is hurting.   I don't think you'll have too hard of a time moving it although the lack of the top frame is really going to stop a number of people that would otherwise consider it.

Good luck with the sale.

Looks like a reasonable buy......wish I had the extra cash....but if I did I would still have my 70 I just sold.
