Where to mount a fire extinguisher
« on: March 26, 2010 - 01:07:18 PM »
I have been thinking about buying one of these halotron (replaces Halon) fire extinguishers:

Summit has them for $120. (Ouchie!)

At 15" long (its the 2.5 lb version, 5 lb total weight), I think the only place it could mount would be on the passenger side of the hump in the front....but looking for ideas and photos of installs.  I have seen some folks mount smaller units on the front passenger kick panel but.....I dont think this one would fit.....

Thanks guys!

I've got mine mounted to the passenger's side of the console. It has been several years since I bought it, but it probably wasn't much cheaper than the one from Summit. Here's another source...
