need help on bucket seats,,

ok i bought a set of bucket seats for my 73 barracuda with new covers on them,they were shiped with the top of seat taken off from the bottoms,,my question is are they that hard to put back together or did i get tops not matching the bottoms,,never messed with seats before but i cant get the hinges to go on the studs sticking out on the bottom seats,,,are there some trick that i dont know or did i get burned,,

Shoulder screws (bolts) hold the tops to the bottoms. You should find a 1/2-13 welded nut on either side of each seat. The upper part of the seat rests on the studs once "bolted" on. No pics handy.

the bottom half of the buckets have a stud sticking out on each side for the hinges to slide onto,,what i am having trouble with is trying to fit the hinge onto the stud sticking out on each side of bottom of buckets,,

Perfect timing , just got my seats back, the studs are just a stop, the arms from the seatback bolt into a hole on the side of the seat foward of those studs, look like seat belt bolts(that go into the floor) but have bigger threads, big washer 1'st then seat arm then bolt in. hope that helps,Rich.
