ok i've decided to buy some undercaoting...actually its bedliner...from wal mart to put on the under side of my car...bad idea?? good idea?? i'm mainly doing it for cost purposes...its cheaper to put bedliner on than to paint it the same color as the car..also i was thinking about puttin it on the floor also...is that a bad idea??? also after you get the paint stripped from it do you have to primer it before puttin the bedliner on or do you just put it on with out primering?? thanks

I'm not goin near any of that stuff, a lot of guys say it holds the moisture once it gets in, I did a base of por15 & their primer (tie coat & the tie coat is cheap) & then painted it with color probably less than 150 in por & paint, geeze I spent more than that on wire wheels to clean it up! Rich.

Yeah, I'd say go with POR15 too because it traps out any water much better than what any other products can.  Maybe keep the truck bedliner for a future truck project.

They are in jersey, I ordered some stiff yesterday am, it was here today, don't know how far you are, but the orders go right out! I shoulda bought stock in that co (before i started buying!)  :oRich.

I thought of doing a bedliner spray underneath my car a year ago. I talked w/rep from Line X. She told me that they can put different thickness rates  and colors to your liking. That's on hold right now as I'm going into bodywork first. When Isold trucks up in Auburn, Ca. I would see alot of trucks with different kinds of spray on liners. The Line X looked the best of any of them. Estimate around 2-300 bucks. But don't hold me to that. I'm fairly sure it can be painted over also. Check with a rep. first.
