70 b-cuda project
« on: April 08, 2010 - 02:04:36 PM »
Hi,
trying to scare up some down payment money for a house, so I'm thinking about getting rid of the car I was hoping to work on after I'm done with my t-bird.

the car is a 318 barracuda.  The car is a big project.  The left frame rail needs to be replaced, the floors are decent but need some work, trunk needs to be replaced on the left side.  the quarters are bad and the fenders, A pillars and leading edge of the roof have rust holes.

I have the hood in my basement, along with rear glass.  the doors are on the '72 you can see in the background.  I'd like to sell both cars together, if possible.  the '72 is actually two half-cars welded together and is pretty much parts only.  The fenders are doors for the 72 are in the passenger compartment and the bumpers are in my basement.

I have one very nice fender that came with the cars, I'm not sure if it's a 70 or 72.  Also not sure if it's NOS, it is steel.

I have various interior panels, in black for this car.  I haven't gone through all of it, but I think I have the A-pillars, kick panels.  I know the door panels and rear side panels are there and in good shape.  I also have an automatic center console, that I think is from the 72.

I have two buckets seats as well, that have some tears in the fabric, but could be used as is, if needed, until there's time/$ to recover them.

I honestly don't know what the value of these cars are, as I haven't been looking for a car in several years.  I'd like to get at least 2k for it, but I will listen to offers.

I have posted more pictures of the car in photobucket, along with pictures of the parts that will come with the car.  This includes front seats, a center console, another set of bumpers, a bunch of trim and interior panels and the hood from the '70.

What is the fender tag readout?
It is on the drivers side inner fender.

I had them written down somewhere a while ago, but I don't have them handy.  both of the cars were originally 318 auto cars.  Pretty plain jane.  I will try to get out to my sister's farm to check it out in the next couple of days.

Here's the fender tag readout from the '70.  It was a little hard to read in spots, so I might have swapped a "G" for a "6", an "O" for a zero, etc in a few spots.
