I NEED A CLUE
« on: April 14, 2010 - 08:20:55 AM »
Can anyone tell me why this book is worth $335 dollars?  It says it's an Originality Guide, but then why does a 70 Challenger have colored bumpers?   I am clueless!

I bought the same book a few months ago for cover price somewhere online. Maybe $30 or so.   Do some searching around.  There is some price gouging going on the book is still in print as far as I know.

It's so expensive cause it says 'cuda and Challenger on it.  It would be half the price if it only had one car name on it.   :)  Challengers were offered with elastomeric (rubber) bumpers painted body color, at least for 1970.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I have a copy.  I had better that thing off the shelf adn put it in the safe.   Make me an offer I can't refuse   :roflsmiley:  Seriously, it is not that great a book.  It was worth $30 maybe but certainly not $350.
