« on: March 29, 2010 - 08:40:51 PM »
What color was used on the fins, flat black or textured Organsal black?

Dose any have a picture of orginal rocker molding showing the painted areas?

Thanks.  :2thumbs:

:cooldancing:bought mine from b-tucker and they came silver painted, but not the black.so i masked the gills.i found masking tape that is somewhat flexable/soft,i tried with regular masking tape first but it was no good.the soft tape was to wide so i cut the roll halfthru with a razorsharp knife sharpened by a finnish guy,now the tape could be used to mask both up on the gills and against the gills, and one tejp strap beetwen those 2 and the first gill is done, only 60 left to do or so.i used some half-shiny paint from eastwood.ah and up on the gills i didnt push the tejp down so hard, sort of,so when i painted the paintline become a bit dimmed.it came out very nice.i would say this is a 4 cold ones job. :pullinghair:

here you go, i couldnt tell you the finish as the are faded but the black does not have any texture. it looks like they were done with a templates there was a little bit of oversparay around the edges. you could replicate it easily or you could tape it. tape would be tedious, but very do-able  :picture:
