Eddy Performer RPM Intake Height Issue ????

Guys,

Will a Eddy Performer RPM dual plane intake for my 440 fit under my stock Ralley Hood?

Or is it too tall and require a cowl hood ?

What air cleaner are you running?  Drop base, and if so, how deep?

I use RPM intake with Holley and a drop base with 3" element worked.  I also used the K&N filter top.  I think the drop base was something like 1 5/8".

My 800 AVS and a .250" thick gasket using a drop base air cleaner just barely fit. I have to screw the lid down very tight, or it will rub. Also, the bottom of the drop base will not clear the electric choke housing on the AVS carb. You will need to dimple the air cleaner base to clear that. If you use a holley, this is not an issue.

yes , why would you get that ? are you on a budget ? that set up that ( dwbiggs ) has is the best setup to use for a p erformance application and looks. it all comes to what you want to do and what you like as in looks and performance.

Moroso drop base, on a Holley, will fit under a flat barracuda hood, with RPM on a 440.

I had a new MP Air filter on the shelf.  Plus it matches my valve covers.
I do like the top flow lid, but I minus well use the new MP setup for now.

So basically just a drop base for the bulge hood.

Well it seems nobody carries a drop base for 12.75 sized air filters like the Mopar.

So........... I guess I need to take a look at the Holley Street intake.

Probably not the best for the track but its nice and responsive and I haven't run into any noticable flat spots or anything like that on the street.  I would like to try a chokeless Proform or Quick fuel carb for fun
