How long will they make these new Challengers?
« on: April 30, 2010 - 09:33:24 AM »
Hi guys,  Thanks in advance for any input!

I was in another thread and saw someone mention that the new Challengers may only be a 4-5 year run?

Is that true?  Or did they mean that the car will have a facelift after 4-5 years or will the Challenger be discontinued?  :clueless:

Thanks!

I think only Dodge can answer this. I hope they make then for a long while but I sometimes live in a fantasy world.   :roflsmiley:

2012 is a for sure, but after that there is no real know to as to how long?

There may be a newer smaller LY platform that has been in the works and tthe car gets re-tooled with the other 300s etc to carry on, but in 2011 model a 6.4l Auto is a for sure and maybe a stick 6.4 later in the year?

I thought of this also but I lived through the first muscle car age and it hurt when they went away. To have to go from a ground pounding tire shreader to a 90 HP 4cyl was hard. I was 15 in 1969 and the first car I bought myself was a 65 Barracuda and haven't grown up yet.

Another part of this is that the manufacturers are not always completely open with information. When Ford canned the latest T-bird they said that they had only planned for it to be a limited run, but people within Ford told me that there had been high hopes that it would be a big hit. So, in other words, we don't know what they're thinking, despite what they're saying. Or not saying.
