If you wrench for a living, snap on or mac or matco. For home, craftsman, husky etc, more likely to find a store open on a weekend than a tool truck guy at home - plus they (sears, HD, Lowe's etc.) don't know the difference as to why/how you broke a tool, they'll just give you another one. A craftsman combo kit is a great start and reasonably priced. Also, used tools have next to no resale value, check craigslist, just be sure the stuff aint stolen.
