Pretty much decided i want to go with the 518 type automatic w/.69 overdrive in my challenger.  Anyone experienced tunnel problems, etc.?
OR WOULD IT BE BETTER, EASIER, CHEAPER to use the 727 transmission w/gear vendors O/D unit attached?

Also, any good vendors out there supplying these transmissions and/or kits for high horsepower/torque levels?
Thanks, scott

here ya go, I'm really surprised no one has started making new tranny crossmembers for this swap. It seems like there would be alot of demand for them. Or better yet a complete kit including all the little stuff to make everything work right. (including the OD, slapstick shifter etc.

I'm looking forward to seeing the responses you get on this.  My long-term plans for my Barracuda include a Gear Vendors OD because there is no cutting, etc.  If there are other options that don't require trans tunnel changes or other permanent changes to the car I would consider them as well.  I'd rather not modify the car if there's a way not to.

It's lookin' like i'm gonna go with a 727 with the GearVendors O/Drive unit on the end.  Seems to be the right thing to do.  Scott
