What do you call this? A torch, I know, but does this particular part have a name?

That is the torch....everything else is there to support the torch, hoses, regulators, tanks altogether called an outfit, down South anyways

probably an Oxy Acetelene torch although it doesn`t look like the ones I have used

If anyone's wondering, this is for a safety training course. I'm doing a module on accident investigation, and given a choice between a machine shop and a laboratory as a setting, guess which one I chose.

Me neither Neil. Never seen knobs like that on a cutting torch

It looks chrome-plated and very sanitary, like what you might find in a lab or medical application.
