Paint design changed a bit... it`s gloss black with no pinstripe... I couldn`t get it powdercoated flat black, just satin, and I don`t like satin. I hope my son likes it as much as you guys do. I`ve built all kinds of toys and tools for kids over the years and it is so very rewarding to see them have fun with it
I think I`ll borrow this one every once in a while ... I bet the babes love it

tnx John, I`m not really into building things twice... I do it just for fun and fun is gone after it`s done
The only toy I made two of was a rocking horse. One for my son and one for a girl with a pretty serious mental handicap. Man did she ride that thing

One of these years way down the road some collector/picker is going to pay some big $$$$ for those, they will last and last and last.

yea... it may be a tad heavy but it rolls supersmooth and it`s virtually indestructable. I always have a hard time spending money on toys as most available stuff is just crap and won`t last more than a month or two. Just look around in a toy store... I think it`s terrible what they usually stock ( maybe it`s just me
) but all I see is plastic in the brightest colors and videogames....( these seem to be very handy when you want to keep the kids busy...) not even a shop around here where you can buy a decent railwayset anymore.
